MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his first full-length album. The album reached number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year he became part of Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. The group released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the year following. In 2021 he recorded an duet with TINI's popular track Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment because both his mother and younger brother are musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about participating in music as compulsory. He began playing the saxophone, guitar, the ukulele and piano when he was when he was a child. The first goal was to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take lessons with a Cuban musician, he rearranged his goals for his future career.
