Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros in addition to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos, as well as opera and various dramatic types. Ana began to study singing as well as play musical instruments in the early years with her mother. The singer received more formal vocal instruction when she was 16 years old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. The singer performed on stage in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a scholar and professional. The year 2000 saw her move back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she re-located to her new home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo performing traditional Latin American music at private performances. She's involved in numerous local initiatives, both as an educator and performer due to her passion for the arts and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her singing music from Latin American traditional songs, she can instill a love, in particular in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
